Quilt Square #23

In spring 2023, I asked my students to work on the climate quilt because learning about climate change can sometimes feel like there’s a million problems and the huge task of “fixing” climate change can seem overwhelming or paralyzing. Creating art where it celebrates the joy we feel in our environment, or art where they can creatively express their feelings about the subject, or art where they explore solutions can be regenerative and a way of pushing back against the narrative of apathy and hopelessness that is becoming more and more common.
